Practical Rifle Training


Practical rifle competition training - a two day event to learn and practice your shooting from every position you would come across in a match. No match experience is needed and newcomers are more than welcome. This will be a very fun weekend away shooting steel, we have some awesome props to shoot from/out of.

  • Basic understanding of how to shoot medium range (500m)
  • Shooter ability to group under 1 MOA at 100 yards/metres
  •  Bolt action rifle, detachable box magazine fed, capable of 1 MOA, or better accuracy at 100 yards/metres
  • Scope with reticle in the first focal plane, target turrets, and greater than 15mil/60 MOA or more in elevation adjustment
  • Scope rail, ring mount, or combination of both with 6mil/20 MOA, or greater angle
  • Sling
  • Shooting mat
  • Ballistic solver (AB, or Ballistic AE)
  • Bipod
  • Rear Bag
  • Electronic hearing pro
  • Spare magazine
  • 200 rounds of match grade ammunition (if hand loads SD of 15fps, or less)

Accommodation - swags, tents, camping at the range. Treat this course as a weekend away camping in the bush.. You can arrive the day before to setup camp and get ready.
